September 2026 Picture of the Month Nominations

**I thought I'd try this out again because there's been some good pictures posted lately and it might liven things up a bit too.

We'll try it out for a few months and see if people are interested.

I know it's a little before September but I thought I'd get things started while I was motivated. :P

Pictures posted from August 25th are allowed to be nominated. Any picture nominated before that date will be removed from the pool.

Main rules of how things work are below |

:sun::sanpedro:Welcome to the September 2026 Ethnobotanical Garden Picture of the Month Nominations thread.:sanpedro::sun:

In this thread you can nominate the best pictures posted in the Ethnobotanical Garden and other forums during the month of July. At the end of July all nominations go into a poll and we can vote on which should be the Picture of the Month. Anyone can nominate a picture.

Six contest rules:
1. Original botanical-related pictures only.
2. Originally posted during July only.
3. No Self-nominations allowed.
4. No naked humans are to be in the shot, keep it clean!
5. Pictures taken by original poster.
6. Original poster can veto any of their nominated pics. (:pm: me!)

Each nomination should include:

  • A thumbnail linking to a larger version of the picture.
  • A brief description.
  • The name of the picture's owner.
  • A link to the thread in which the picture was originally posted.

For example:

Thelocactus bicolor var. schotti VS167 in flower by LSoares posted here

Here's a link to last month's nominations thread for further clarification: June 2018 Pic of the Month Nominations

Also, if you are yet to vote for June's POTM you can do so: N/A (We need nominations first!)
All previous POTM winners and threads are archived here
