Re: Automated fruiting chamber (Dreamer Tubs) DIY [Re: PuffM4gicDr4gon]
    #29657265 -

Ok I've been playing with this tub for a little bit now. I haven't run too much in it, a couple small tamp trays and a pioppino bottle and bag. I'm noticing and getting used to the changing parameters, but one thing I cant figure out yet is the far side gets very wet while the side with the fan and humidifier inlet stays dry enough to be pretty much unusable. Seems like I have a center tub sweet spot, far edge gets pooling and near side dries out. Running the setup with inlet and sensor straddling the fan as high as it can go. When I watch the fog it definitely shoots far to the other side. Considering trying some sort of diverter to even out the coverage and maybe one to change the fan flow. Could be good to have zones of different conditions but now my tub is mostly full and it's tough to get uniform conditions without constant attention and rotating the trays around. Any tips here?

I now place the fan low enough to hit the side of the shoebox closest to it to divert the flow. If I'm running meal prep trays, I'll use one of the lids to proper against the fan on the inside of the tub. I always wanted to design a cover plate of some sort to divert the fan direction so it's dispersed more evenly. Just never got around to it before I took a break from growing indoors

With a high enough tub, having the fan in the top middle and the fog outlet on either side of the fan will evenly spread the fog, also having trays with some walls to trap fog will help a lot.

I ordered a Mars Hydro Humidifier because they are having a big sale atm.    Kloakk what did you use to attach the hose to your tote? It looks real neat and clean.

Thanks Kloakk. I appreciate the help. Ive already bought the wrong size once online. I am going with the bottom mounted fan since I had already bought the shorter gasket totes from the original post. Last question. Did you ever use the HM controller from Mars or did you go with a different controller?

Tell me about it, it couldn't find the right size so I just ordered a set with all the sizes

I use the controller on the Mars Hydro humidifier.

Awesome build Pheno, thank you for writing this up!  and thanks to everyone sharing their own builds and suggestions....ive already started gathering pieces but would like to ask a question or 2...

has anyone using the cloudforage T3 for exotics or gourmets/medicinals had the need to invest in the controller also?  is the auto mode good enough aross multiple grows?

@tree frog, or anyone doing somethimg similar, how is your gnat defense system holding up?  im hesitant to even start anything back up right now because of them.

The auto function works great, I've done pans, zaps, paps and subtrops

Just started using it so can't comment on if its worth or its longevity but we'll see

I made an automated fruiting chamber based on this thread, and honestly, it was a massive success!
Up until now, I’ve tried monotubs, tents, and JCMs, but none of them gave me satisfying yields.

To briefly explain my setup,
I’m running a 12V 92mm low-RPM PC fan at 8V, 24/7.
There’s no humidity sensor—the fogger simply runs for 30 minutes every 30 minutes.
The chamber uses two 35cm x 55cm x 15cm (about 14" x 22" x 6") tubs, stacked upside down to form the lid.
Huge thanks to this thread!
