I feel defeated, Any Help Appreciated

So i did the dumbest thing ever and used freaking AI to help me with my setup (18lbs Spawn , 10LB CVG) as i wanted to grow as much as possible and the frigging bot told me to use 12lbs of spawn and all of my CVG in my 20gal tote just to contradict the advice and say that ratio wouldnt be good. So now im wondering has anyone ever done such a stupid thing before because now im all depressed and wondering if i should just give up honestly. found out i couldve gotten multiple dried pounds with that much spawn now ill likely have little to nothing.

You know what's good for depression? Mushrooms. Start over. Grow pounds of mushrooms.

When you feel better sue the AI company in question for big $$$ for the anguish they caused you, join a Fuck AI online community and march around carrying a huge Fuck AI sign. All that will make you feel better too.

Hey, mistakes help you learn. Sometimes you can take the damage safely, sometimes the damage is big enough to weight you down. I feel you.

I suggest you take your time to process the feeling of demoralization and start again when you'll know you have the mindset and stability to approach a new grow attempt, because it can potentially fail again for who knows what reason.

Even tho AI chats are accessible and good for some things, it's not usefull for mushroom growing. The shroomery community is really welcoming and gives priceless information for free; here everyone wants to see you succeed and will support you! Just approach with curiosity to learn, generosity of interpretation and a critical mindset.

Well now you have learned not to trust AI and the consequence was rather innocuous, as all that happened is your grow was messed up.  I have seen people on here try to use AI to identify actives and that could have been a much more deadly lesson.  All the info you need is on this forum, just post a thread if you can't find the info in an already existing one and call it a day.  No harm no foul.  It's okay.

thank you guys …. i have 6lbs of spawn left gonna pick up some more coir tomorrow and just run 6qts , just bummed out because i really thought the the big tote would do me so much better and wasted so much potential in return! but all of you are so right.

The trick is that you have to already know quite a bit about growing mushrooms before you know what you can or should not trust AI with. I use it to help figure out substrate recipes, scaling them up or down depending on the volume needed. Or to ask other questions as well. But I know enough, and have enough experience to correct the AI when it's wrong, or recognize when something doesn't sound right. Use it as a tool, not a teacher.
