i'd like to use the whole bag at once. the kitty litter box that i will get will be able to fit it all. i was looking at conatiners the other day- they were either 11.4 qts, 12qts, 15qts or this kitty litter box which is probably around 15 qts also. could ya let me know what it weighed out to- that would be very helpful. i haven't used castings at all before. this is my first time. i should get them tomorrow. planning on mixing it up in a few days. here is what i plan to do: http://www.theforestfloor.org/forum/ikonboard.cgi?s=3c881617294affff;act=ST;f=8;t=1283;hl= what do you think? red

just remember that castings don't need to be sterilized or kept sterile. As long as they are at least pasteurized, they can be kept in unsealed/unfiltered containers/jars. Once you go adding BRF, you will need to treat them like most other substrates. Meaning keeping them sterile and in filtered bags or jars. Might be fine with you, but it kinda defeats one of the major bonuses of bulk substrates which is you can produce a good amount of substrate without the trouble of keeping them sterile or in jars etc.

I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.
