Hadn't heard of AH but now I know she was tight with Violet and I always liked Violet so looks like I'm reading a lot tonight :takingnotes:.

Anne Halonium was at Mycotopia too, with all the stories about lab rats and those bloated grafted peyotes under artificial light. And enough time on her hands to constantly engage in vicious arguments.

Not judging here, just summarizing.


I confess that in four nights, we're off to the last festival of the season. Been really busy with work and kids doing the laundry and whatever, but it's going to happen.

Also, I confess to cultivating a lot of Salvinia natans in absentio. They just exploded with the hot and sunny weather

Maybe someday I can work up to big doses but I have to take baby steps. I had a few very bad trips years ago that ruined tripping for me until recently. My setting is much more peaceful compared to then, so I think that has a lot to do with it.

On a positive/funny note:
My carpet has an attitude. I looked down and saw "DORK" written in the carpet. I'm gonna take the vacuum to it later and straighten it out.

Another thought I'd like to share, please.

I realize, now, that tripping really is medicine for the mind. Back when I had those bad experiences, I was also trying to get as far out as possible. I didn't respect it. I'm not interested in mind-warping trips right now. Between therapy, the low dose trips, and (most importantly) you guys, my day-to-day life has improved noticeably. After decades of beating myself up about small insignificant details or irrational thought, I'm happy with what I have in the "now". I don't want to ruin that with misplaced bravado while measuring a dose. I'm content with the outcome of these low dose trips. They help quite a bit.

I say it but I can't say it enough. Thank you guys for everything.

I used to be the same way, tripping wasn't tripping unless I did enough to feel like I could get as far out as possible(mentally) from it. I had a few really bad experiences that way, especially the night I took 75 hits of some really good LSD by mistake. Needless to say I didn't trip for a while.
I think the "medicine" aspect of shrooms comes with age.
Lower doses allowed me to integrate better because I remember more of the trip. Higher doses are fun but I prefer a lower dose now.

The scariest and most life changing trip of my life happened by mistake as well. It was liquid lsd. I don't know how many hits I took. I was having seizures, according to the hospital staff. I'm convinced I met "God" that night. That was nearly 26 years ago.

I agree with you. It's medicine for the mind at my age. Mush love to ya, man.
