Yeah its a class thing bro. The only way to fix it is to erase that divide and vote together mid class and working class.
They have to understand they arent who we wanna tax.
We want the ultra wealthy.
50m and up not some worked 50 years baby boomer middle class with 1-5 mil in bank and stock

Problem is the middle class is not as philanthropic as they like to think they are. There's middle class DSA people that are like "Sweet, free healthcare would allow me to retire five years early", or allow them to buy a second property for passive income, or whatever other capitalist wet dreams keep them up at night. We can't hitch the movement to these people.

Yeah they are selfish, absolutely, also no hitching reqd(they arent prepared to carry things forward, themselves) but it is fact we need them.

What understanding needs to happen to shake them to our side?

Well, simply the fact the ultra-wealthy will eventually extract their wealth too, if you allow inequality to continue burgeoning, by doing nothing, they are writing their own elegy.
If they understood that fact, the option to group up w/ the poors is the only play.

The guys with 1-5 mil, arent the ones making the working class living standard go down, arent the ones stopping new generations from owning homes, and arent the ones truly benefitting from growing inequality.

The people with enough money to spend tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions on lobbying, or to buy an entire social media platform.

E.g. someone who can afford to spend $100 million to lobby against a wealth tax.

Yeah not to mention the tax/sheltering or evasion techniques theyve utilised to amass such sums of money in the first place without contributing to the societies that allows them to spend it on fucking making sure they and their buddies dont have to foot any bill.
In america tax evasiom/avoidance is basically championed, its this weird individual success thing, i guess, where they could give 2 fucks less bout the next guy or much more, their community at large

Ok then write down a tax system that makes sense to you and account for "needs of people " cost. Then divide it accordingly. The reason tax avoided is championed is the lack of clear policy to the people.

Take away the billionaires and America will flounder.  Taxing the middle class’s bread and butter out of existence is not intellectually sound.

The petro dollar is generally assumed to have arisen, after Nixon defeated the gold standard.

But, the social bargain is that we would be the world policeman in exchange for the world reserve currency.

In exchange for which, we produce cannon fodder, mainly.
(why we have PE)

All of the essential sectors or markets are under regulatory capture.
(ie. ten planks)

So, Republicans should struggle with enforcing the Communist Control Act.

There is no good or service that cannot be produced, independently -- right, entrenched, financial elitists?

Alternative suggestions --

There were several historical versions of a Republic, with more nuance than the Tytler Cycle's rinse, wash, and repeat.

In Sortition and Timocracy:

Rather than being the employer of last resort, soldiers have to support their own entourage.

You are ineligible for office over more people than you can feed, implying competent land management.

Those eligible for civic service might be subject to random drawing, creating an obstacle to corruption.

The New Deal was socialism in the name of saving capitalism, afaic.

You were not personally responsible for it.

Except, why can't we just acknowledge the way the system is operated, and position ourselves, accordingly

Our economy is based on the capital of industry.  We fuck with the capital of industry we fuck with the economy.  We lose home based industry and employment opportunities and ect.  The lords of industry already pay hella taxes but for some reason you all want them to pay more.

Then why are they voting against DSA candidates? The possibility of rent control in my state got directly fucked by losers with 1-5 mil. And they usually have rental property that is causing the housing shortage. It's not about how much they have, it's about their beliefs and ideology. If they play the stock market and turned their 5 mil into 10 mil, they'd just double down on an even more selfish greedy lifestyle.

People with 5 to 10 million would vote for the people who have billions, because the people with billions work towards reducing taxes for those with tens of millions +.

They might vote with the billionaires, but its the billionares that lobby to put forth bills like the one that would stop a wealth tax in California.

It's not the people with 5 to 10 million that lobbied to get those bills in motion, theyre just voting on what the billionaires put before them.

Those are rich voters clearly with their own interests in mind, but they're not the super wealthy that buys political influence and power.

Right. They are currently fooled by the giant lobbying and propaganda wing they run of low tax on everything we can tax and should tax. And regressive, suffocating tax for the majority.
Da same shitslop low brow laps up..
Their minds simply need to be changed and to see it can and will come for them next, there is no more that can be extracted from the bottom 50%, guess where the next slice of pie to be eaten is?
The middle class has to realize this as fact.
Resulting in eventual tax on the ultra wealthy and corporations in progressive fashion

Again your problem with historical examples in that we didn't run a socialist country then.  The needs of the poor were not met, when I ask you to break down a tax code so the government can budget for your socialist programs , it should be easy.
https://www.crfb.org/papers/choices-financing-medicare-all.

For housing assistance cost 118 billion a year.
https://www.urban.org/urban-wire/its-time-reinforce-housing-safety-net-adopting-universal-vouchers-low-income-renters
You want your government to take care of you then budget it out and build a tax system you find operational to meet that need.

But most billionaires are propped up by stock values not earned income.  So unless you make state run company's mandatory you will have a hard time extracting that vaule.

Hence accelerationism. Withholding your vote or even voting for capitalists, until the situation is bad enough for the middle class to realize it's time to stop playing monopoly.

If not they'll just keep milking their middle class standards for as long as possible, taking as small steps as possible.
