shitake question?

I acquired some nice shitake mushrooms today with some nice mycellial growth on the stem butts.

Is there anyway that I coukd keep this alive and spawn it to some wood chips or something?

I'm sure that this is a stupid question but I just thought that I'd ask.

You could take a clone or tissue 2 grain, but it is more of an advanced technique and riskier than going tissue (small inner piece of the stipe) to agar.
