If you can grow tomatoes on the balcony you can grow cannabis. You can trim them down to whatever height you want. Your problem will be the odour as the plants mature.

You can’t tell if a seed is feminized without extracting tissue from it or knowing the details of its origin. If it was just one seed in purchased bud then it’s probably a result of the plant self pollinating and therefore female. I’ve never grown bagseed but I think most people get pretty good results. If a male pollinated that bud there would be a ton more seeds. My sloppy limited pollinations of a single branch have yielded hundreds of (reg) seeds.

If you can grow tomatoes you can grow weed. Similar nutrient and light needs. For just one plant you don’t need a huge light. A good ~120w LED will give you plenty of bud if you can keep the plant reasonably happy.

That bagseed is probably not auto flowering. So you’ll need a way to keep it in the dark for 12 continuous hours each day for 8+ weeks. Grow tents are the easiest way, and they usually have ports for in line fans and carbon filters so you can control the odor too.

Damn, this makes me wanna grow weed again. Shrooms are so much more inconspicuous though.

If it's one bag seed there's a good chance it's feminized through rodelization (age stress). Most bag seed is.

And tomatoes. I fucking love tomatoes:naughty: I've been rooting and replanting all the suckers the money maker has been spitting out and most of them have been a great success:muppet: the big one is already flowering and I don't even know if this is a good thing but it's cool.



Honestly though just like The Tao says the smell is the biggest issue especially if it's a strain with a strong smell... The weed I got from the same guy just before he got the purple haze REAKED and I was afraid of even handling it because it really smelled all the way out the staircase:uhoh: the purple haze didn't smell much at all though but I still wanna play it safe and grow as stealthy as possible to avoid any issues.

How do you get around the smell, filtered grow boxes right? Or is there a better/cheaper alternative? Also do you guys and gals build the grow boxes yourself as you'd do with tubs or do you buy the entire thing?

Carbon filters on the exhaust is what most use. They're pretty effective.

Grow tents for indoors are the best choice IMO. You can convert a room or closet or build your own tent but it will likely not be as convenient as a prefab tent.
Big is nice but they don't have to be. I have a pair of 30" x 30" x 60" tents that when my perpetual system is in full swing are used for seedling/clones and early veg. During the heat of summer I shut down the larger tents and kick it down to the two small ones. One for veg and one for flower.

I like bigger plants and growing in a tight space is a little tricky but you can pull a decent amount from a plant. That one was done in the small tent.

If you can grow tomatoes, you can grow weed. A grow tent is ideal for sure, you need the dark cycle to be consistent. Also carbon filters FTW. My Phresh filters have been running strong for over a decade, and my house never smells like weed. I haven't run other brands, but those are excellent.

I started some seeds a few days ago, this will be my pilot run in the new grow area.  I’ve been procrastinating on finishing the setup for too long, so I figured I’d light a fire under my ass.

I’ll have about a month tops before I need to flip, hoping to get the irrigation set up in the next two weeks.  Having trouble finding a drain tray though, I really don’t want to have to get creative with corrugated roofing panels.

Got the tent finished too, just shy of 8’ tall.  Tis a thing of beauty, it stands majestically, towering over my ac infinities like a king before his subjects.

Going to hunt through some OZK-V and Saucy V this round.
