Both, I've always had both. They always get along fine.

And it's funny(well maybe not funny) but I used to have a dog(died of old age) that killed the neighbors cat in my backyard, but he loved his feline brothers and sisters.

But if you made me choose, I'd guess I'd say I'm a cat person. I love my dogs, but I don't love all dogs. Too many of them are either annoyingly noisy, or just needy little bitches. Insecurity is not an appealing trait.

And anyone who thinks cats don't have their own personalities, or aren't loyal and affectionate, either hasn't been around enough of them or the ones they have been around had basically absentee owners.

Plus cats are useful. They are always leaving me mice and rats. Sometimes the new ones will leave me birds but I scold them...either they get the message, or they just get too old and slow to catch birds once fully grown.

I absolutely fucking hate neighbors who get loud ass dogs for home security, then leave them  in the backyard all the time and encourage them to bark at anything and everything all God damned day. It's like...get a home security system like a normal person, nowadays that's cheaper than owning a dog so there is no excuse.

Dogs. But I like cats too. I have cat. We think she's a cute hairball BUT I think she thinks she is a big panther. She's just patient enough not to maul us all for babing her around like this.

Can’t vote… was dogs my entire life until my mother’s neighbors abandoned their kittens while I was home visiting 7 years ago. Kept one.
My dog is my baby but my cat is my roadie. We understand each other.

I'm a dog guy.

I like dogs that are big enough to defend their owners yet nice enough to be friendly around children and other animals.

I have four golden retrievers. They are maybe a little too nice... but their pack mentality seems to kick in whenever anything strange comes around, so I halfway suspect they would defend the house if push came to shove.

I feel like cats barely love you the slightest little bit, and dogs love you so much they'd literally die for you and their whole world rotates around you.
