using pre pasturized manure based substrate

Hello I have 25lbs of pre pasturized manure based substrate from outgrow that i bought to get jumpstarted back into growing, I also have cocobliss on the way and everything on the way to do everything my self, A bunch of agar plates about half way ready (first time doing them) I'm wondering if I should even bother using the manure substrate or just go straight to the coir?

Why not try both? If you have multiple tubs do one coco and one poop!

Take it a step further and do a third tub with both.

Im a first timer so please consider this with a LARGE grain of salt.  I used pre pasteurized substrate and a seperate grain bag purchased online, and noticed my first few pins come in today.  If you trust the supplier I would at least try a tub with  the manure.  Not sure how much is beginners luck but I felt ive made some mistakes and it still worked out well for me. 

As you can see parts are too wet and pooling water, and others may not be getting enough air. And my casing layer was super thick and uneven.  If you have any experience you'll probably see better results :smile:

I know I'm going to be a dick here but you jumped the gun to early on the manure.  I personally love manure  as a substance. But your not even at the grain spawn colonized yet. Pasteurization only last so long.  Coir is the cowards way out which is perfect for first time growers. But you may want to learn how to pasteurized manure for the future.

My first 2 grows were pastuerized manure that I gathered and did myself and they went fine, it seems like coir is the standard here acutally so i'd have to disagree with you.
