Contams on Agar but what is it?

Hello fellow shroomheads,

I have started out with spore print to antibacterial agar on fifteen plates, only two showed mycelium. But from those I then transfered another fifteen plates to regular agar, only cutting from the leading edge and now every single one of them is showing this transparent kinda rippled wet looking contam around the myc except for one plate and one sector where I might have gotten lucky. From what I could gather its some kind of bacillus but I'd like to know more.

And what could I do to make sure I won't keep on transferring it further?!

This is what comes to my mind.

Unless it´s a wild culture,
i would never use antibiotical agar.
If there´s some contam,
we wanna see it on agar,
that´s why we use it.

Worst case is,
you make contam fall asleep until you move it to grains,
where it starts to ruin your batch.

Recognize it and clean up :wink:
