For example- does green mold use a high amount of air(o2/co2) while growing....or does it feed on myc/substrate

This was a contam from a sloppy G2G

Green/blue nasty shit doesnt need any more air than mushroom myc does.

Most all fungi need oxygen at some level.  The molds' requirement for it is probably very similar to the cultivated mushroom mycelium, it's just that their growth rate is so much faster.  I'm not entirely sure of any major differences between the two, actually.  [possibly a reason why 'contams' are 'contams'. . .they do well in the environment created for other fungi].  Not a great answer to your question, I know

well a quick idea came thru my head at one point--What if you had 1 liter of spawn[or colonized substrate] and you notice a dime size green mold.

I thought--why not vacuum pak that--remove most all air and the mold would prolly die first and the myc would survive.
I dont know if this is far fetched or whatnot, but it seemed like a cool idea.
