Are my hillbillies ready to harvest???

They looked perfectly fine yesterday. The veils didn't look torn, and I figured I would let them go another day. Now they are bruising bad. My one friend said when they start to get colors around the outside then it is time. This is my first time growing shrooms. Thank you for any guidance.

Kk, I thought so. Dang wish I would have went with my gut and did it before they got all bruised up. Hillbillies are pretty forgiving I heard, so they should still be really good? I hope I didn't screw anything up.

They look good to meπŸ€™πŸ½ As long as they aren't rotting they're good and shouldn't effect potency too much either. So I'd say you have no worries, just make sure they're fully dehydrated before storingπŸ˜ŠπŸ„πŸ©·

And that's pretty cool I have a hillbilly variety I'm fruiting currently as wellπŸ€™πŸ½ So far super aggressive and fluffy myc. Hoping mine turn out good like yours.

That's the one I got. Not sure if you ever tried them, just popped up on my feed one day flipping through vids. I honestly didn't even know they sold all-in-one grow bags. For $97, I just got the first flush completed.



The guy says they give about 2 to 3 flushes, some people get 5 to 6.. The first flush came out to almost 13oz.

Good luck on yours. I was stressing thinking I was gonna mess mine up, so I know how it feels.. oh yeah that bag I got will give you a new one or refund your money if things go wrong, so that card was on my side if I needed it, lol.

Personally I skipped the AIO bags and don't intend to try them. I've found my bread & butter to be making my own grain jars then spawning to shoebox tubsπŸ€™πŸ½ The trouble with AIO bags is you don't have as much control over nearly all the variables, plus you have to trust a randos sterilization process.
Imho after this grow I'd check out the shroomery hitchhikers guide(it's the link in my sig under "newbie guide"), and either try out PF Tek for a bit while your still learning or if you feel your ready start getting familiar with Agar work, and making your own grain jars.
I've only been at the hobby about a year and a half now myself but what I've learned so far is everything to do with grain and any work that needs sterility you are better off learning to do yourself. That and Agar work is a LOT of fun imo😊
