Cook some sterile water and get a series of small sterile containers. Thoroughly mix a solution of spores in a couple ML of sterile water. Immediately (before they settle), with a clean syringe/pipette, move about 1/10th of it to another couple ML of water. Now you have a 10x diluted spore solution. Shake it to shit again, and using a new syringe, pull a 10th of that into another container to get 100x dilution, etc. You can go as far as you want, but 100x is probably a decent start. You can always do more later.

Then streak your 100x solution. It will have 100x less spores/contam in it, and they'll be 100x farther apart. So instead of having many germinations on a plate that all instantly collide and dirty each other, you might only have one or two, but they'll be separate enough that you can move the myc to a clean plate before the contam bumps into it.
