growing in the wet tropics from a spore print
    #2340126 - 02/16/04 07:02 AM (12 years, 9 months ago)

have done some research and reading, however my circumstances are rather unique...i haven't got access to preservative free rice or vercelmite (whatever), or syringes. Dont ask where i live but its not in the US...most of these boards are very US-centric...and it is currently the midst of the wet season, very humid.

I have LOTS of space and lots of perfect growing conditions for fungi (but no there are no native species which are readily identifiable and LOTS of toxic fungi). I therefore want to introduce some MM via a spore print. I'd like to stress (to those of you who have never been in the wet tropics), that if you stand still for five mins outside you begin going moldy.

Some simple and practical advice considering I dont have access to some of things oft mentioned on these boards is much appreciated.

^^^^ thanx
I have read the FAQ's ...which is why i posted the thread.

I don't think anyone on this (or other boards) can grasp the idea that all of the 'items of US civilisation' are not necessarily available everywhere.

At some point there must be a non-substrate/pf cake/pressure cooker scientific way of doing things.  Mushrooms and their cultivation have been around longer than these techniques...could someone please just give me some 'farming tips'.
