Late to this thread, but still fairly new to shroomery! Have mostly been doing reading and lurking, but finally going to be trying to contribute now that I finished my first harvest :smile: Thank you so much for the warm welcome here!

Just want to let you know, you will get there. Im near the end of what I consider my breakthrough grow. I took spores that I collected, put to agar, put to grains, sent to bulk and now I have pins.  It is a wonderful feeling and these awesome shroomery folks will help you every step of the way.


Mushrooms kick so much ass! Welcome all new growers!

I just started working on a community project, and I just noticed some spore germination last night. Seeing this progress is so exciting. I can't wait to make transfers and work on that grow

Hey Shroomery gang, new to the site but I’ve been growing on and off for a decade and this has been my go to reference when I had questions so I owe all members a debt of gratitude for the guidance over the years. I primarily grow culinary varieties in a Martha tent with the semi annual/annual cube grow mixed in for my personal use.

I started off with pf tek for my cubes but after issues with over humidification leading to beautiful batches of green mold I decided to automate the process and remove the guess work as much as possible. I was inspired by a former employer that used automation via sensors to grow hydroponic produce year round then discovered Martha tents which have been my go to for oysters ever since. Then I started popping my pf tubs in the tent and here I am  today.

I’ve grown strictly b+ and gt until my most recent grow simply because they were what I grew up exposed to and was hesitant to risk the work on the more exotic cubes. I started this batch of Jack Frost with inoculation at the end of January after being gifted the spore syringe from a long time friend at Christmas. Spores came from the vendor we both have used for a while.

Hey gang. Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I’ve come across this site several times while Google searching various mushroom randomness but never really looked around. This place is amazing! I finally decided to create an account so I could ask questions. I’m getting really excited about foraging, especially for ovoids after I found out that they grow natively around here.

I was told to introduce myself in here. I've lurked on the site for years, but didn't start growing my own mushrooms 'til February this year. My current setup is Hobby Core Extreme with modded tubs in the bathroom, so my cultivation journey has mostly been a private matter up until this point.

PS. The death of forums was such a loss to my general Internet experience, so in addition to this being where I get my myco fix, I'm also basking in the warm glow of a thriving forum. Bless!
