McMan, here's a quote from PF's site regarding that:
"This could be a cause of the silly confusion about what the "PES Hawaiian" or the "PES GOLDEN TEACHER" or the "PES HYBRID" really is. Methinks they are the same. The Hawaiian is a mighty shape shifter. All in all, PF considers this Hawaiian to be the best cultivar of all (no darts please)."

I can tell you this much, the GT sold by sporechicks is NOT the same as sporeworks GT. I believe sporeworks sells the true golden teacher. It grows more robust, thick stalked. Not the same as Hawaiian at all, in my opinion.

Really? Thats strange, the GT I got from sporechicks grew IDENTICAL to the PES Hawaiian on sporeworks page, uniform flush, heavy numbers. However, they dried like regular hollow stemmed cubensis. Sporeworks GT's grow and dry THICK stalked. Check out the image of sporeworks GT's growing in the tray, its an excellent picture...!

Oh my ....could it be... McMan posting some mushrooms pics? I'm shocked! Nice looking fruits :)

The PESA and GT's are different.
The PESA is short for PES Amazonian.
Our PESA originated from Workman, which a long time ago a bunch of us chipped in and bought the print from PES in Hawaiil. They charged like $90 for a print.
They were advertising it as a cubensis/azure hybrid... what a joke. None the less, -clyde- and myself grew all the strains out from PES and the only one we like is the PES Amazonian or for short, P.E.S.A. .

The others we decided not to work with anymore, although PF seems to like the PES Hawaiian. He also calls them GT's, which he claims to have gotten from a guy in Holland. Our GT is the same sporeworks sells, so they are different strains then PF. I'm not sure about the girls where their's came from.
Also cubensis is not native to the Hawaiian islands, so I"m not sure why PF or PES calls it this. Perhaps because the PES Hawaiian came from that company in Hawaii.

Anyway, love the description of your entheogenic experience from the PESA's.
We do find them to be very potent for cubs. They have floored some of my experienced friends a few times ;) And when we cut into them they instantly turn a deep deep blue.

wow McMan, those are beauitful, makes me want to drool.

Hehe I have another flush ready for harvest this week, but I think I am going to have a to wait a month for another entheogenic/empathogenic experience, don't want to become a shroomhead. I think I am gonna do a genetric splice with this cake, once I get a new PC I am casing. All the way.
Anyway, Hawk, you rule and these are great spores. I'm gonna be giving them out to all my friends (the spores) so that the loving experience can continue.

Damn! Those are some awesome pics. They rival Ryche's pics if you were to compare the beauty of the individual mushrooms. I think Ryche takes the cake on quantity, though. heh.

Damn. Are those the first psilocybes you've grown in your cultivator? Or just the first ones that you've taken a picture of?

Beauty is in the mind of the psychonaut, hehe, no matter how unattractive and unappealing PESA may be, each shroom has a lot of beauty.

Those are real nice McMan, did u do a 50/50+? and what substrate did u use?

Spread those fruits around LiquidGaia ... I mean spores :) Put the spores to the wind brother and let nature do the rest.

You really dont think our fruits are beautiful Kast? That doesn't surprise me... seems like we cant do anything right to get any respect from you.

So McMan, those are not bad looking flushes, but really I was expecting much more from you and the MC. You made some claims that you can get the same results as us from using straw in the MC. Those flushes aren't any better then the small ones we have done on finch seed cased with 50/50+ mix. And I'm not saying that to put you down or start a pissing contest I was just really expecting more from your claims.

Now it could very well be the strain. If you will notice in all of our pics of the Golden Teacher, they do exactly what yours has done, they dont utilize all of the substrate and surface well. A lot of scatterd fruits.
This is one of the down sides to this strain, although the entheogenic experience from it everyone seems to love and gives high regards. Its been a long time since I have tried them but -Clyde- really loves them.

Anyway, as far as straw goes, I hardly call it killer substrate. -Clyde- and myself both gave up on it a long time ago for cubbies. We never seen anything spectacular from it, nothing simple cheap birdseed grains could not accompolish and straw/hay always contaminates to easy in our experience. But some people seem to use it well and have some nice flushes with it.

Anyway, just rambling. Some how did this PESA thread got turned into a GT thread :)

So anyway, here are a couple new pics from -Clyde- of the GT's on 10lbs of compst using
THE DB KIT TEK

Notice although these are monsters, large caps, thick stems, a lot of unused surface space remains in the substrate.

and Another GT pic from this flush

There are some more pics of the Golden Teachers here.

Anyway, tell them hippies in that van they did a nice job with the GTs and we want to see some more pics from the MC :)

Well I look forward to seeing your monster pics then :) I'm sure we all do.

As for straw, it not just me. I've seen many of post here over the years of ppl complaing about straw. And I've hardly seen any pics of any spectacular flushes from it. I know some ppl have learned to use it well and prefer it, but most do not from what I have observed.
And I've seen many many exceptional flushes run out on bird seed. There all over my site :)
Like this one <img src="https://proxy.mind-media.com/proxy.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thehawkseye.com%2Faus%2Faus_thai1.jpg">
Those are 1st flush in back of Aussie's, and 2nd or 3rd flush of thai ks in front.

Most of the pictures I have ever seen on straw are about equal in comparison to grain. A real good compost made from straw and dung would certainly not surprise me of some exceptional flushes though. I just haven't seen anything spectacular from straw alone. At least not monster sized mushrooms.

Mokulok, there are plenty of pictures of non mature mushrooms on our web site. Most of them are. And I have a hole array of new ones for you all that are sure to please. Sometimes we take the pictures a little late, sometimes we are there on time for better pics :)

holy mother of earth, those things are huge.

Wow, hehe, I can't wait, gonna get some straw sometime soon. (does anyone know a place to recommend for getting straw, cuzz there is this hobby/decorating shop near my house and they sell straw, but I do not know if they use fungacides)

wow, those are amazing, McMan, thanks for the inspiration.
I just hope the shroomery could be as loving as it once was... and these vibes are just great.

If I ever perfect the technique or spore printing, I'll give out a few prints to the less fortunate. (currently I am taking all precautions to try to prevent contamination, but I will have to wait and see..)
