thanks for the quick response mcman.

that is/was the highest temp. that the heater runs to. my instructions don't show how to do what you describe but i remembered reading your response to..soup?.. about changing the available settings, so i tried that yesterday without turning it on. only thing was i noticed that the spiraling temp. indicator only ran to 32.C so i assumed that was the max temp. available/capable for this unit.
i've just done the removing the control knob and shifting it thing and noticed that it was heating, i'll see if it DOES get hotter.
my storage tank is a plastic insulated drink cooler about 5 gallons?
my grow chamber is a wooden box of 3/4" wet pine 2.5ft sq. x 1ft high/deep with a 6mm thick perspex dome 1ft high and perspex ends (sorry about the metric and imperial measures)
i'm trying to reach pinning and fruiting temperatures.
the other thing is the pump i bought yesterday says that it is designed to operate for temperatures up to 35C. (about 95f. ?) but i suppose there would be a margin for + or - in there?
bummer! checked the heater and it's not going !
$50 for a heater $80 for a pump.
will this never end !
heater breed is bluetherm (sacem) made in italy.
sorry to be a pain. i know your a busy man and have better things to do, but i DO really appreciate your help.

thanks again mcman.

i'll work around it somehow.
you've clarified a few things for me and i'll make it all happen.

if i get a scanner i'll post pics (thought i would've had one by now but things are a bit tight at the moment) if i don't get a scanner sometime soon i'll mail pictures to you, so you can see how i've bastardised your design. that's the least i can do for all your help, advice and the initial design.

p.s. i am going to private message you regarding the purchase of a cool mist and etc.

all's well now mcman.

i took the plastic knob off the heater and used a pair of pliers to screw the brass adjustment spindle open more (the plastic was slipping)
air temp is 72.9 and at substrate height is 71.6 and rising.
r.h. is 95% with fish tank bubbler and re-circulating fan.

i only need now to know if i have "entranement"

i HAVE to get some pics online for you to see.

thanks for everthing mcman.

In reply to:

That would depend on the measuremnts of your chamber, and the manner in which you are pumping in the fresh air.

By the way, if you do mail the pics to mcman, mayber he could scan them and post them. Im very interested.
