Is installed a car alarm very difficult?

What I mean is would it be difficult for someone who doesnt really do that sort of thing. I have installed minor stuff like amps and cd players. I think I could save money getting it online and installing it myself but i'm not sure at all what it entails.

its real easy. if you want a alarm/remote start it is a little harder. go to the12volt.com for a forum dedicated to car electronics. you can find a wiring diagram there...which will tell you what color your door pin switch wires, door lock wires, ignition, starter, acc. wire and so forth are. you will have to use a multimeter to make sure. then just solder the wires in and your set. the hardest part is hiding the brain while taping and hiding the wires under the dash.

well i heard that car alarm installation is not really difficult one just need to follow steps given in instruction manual..... i too want to install car alarm manually to save some money but i don have instructional manual. I bought this alarm form sound and alarm company. Please help me out if nyone knew this??
