Betadyne(surgical scrub) would be the best...but you have to make sure you wipe it off good, cause it stains and has a high iodine content.

Thought of that 2, but I suppose the Iodine leaves a lot of traces. Never heard of Dettol? I have heard it's used in hospitals to clean the rooms etc. Should be very dealy to m.o. and has no unpleasant odour.
Might work, I will post results when done making jars.!!

sure I've heard of it...good 'ol germicide...but I just figure that if a surgeon uses Betadyne to be absolutely without a doubt sterile going in to cut, then that is the shit for me!
I have a bottle of betadyne, but don't use it to tell the truth...I've yet to have a contam just using my trusty alcohol
for syringes, my lysol for air, and bleach and clorox clean ups for the terrarium...anything else is overkill in my estimation. Course, that's just me...

Oven tek? terrarium, oh I see, you just spray the air with lysol in your terrarium??
I have a flowhood for innoculating my jars, making spores etc.
I don't live in the U.S. but now know they have lysol, dettol, and betadyne at our local drugstore. Thanks for the help guys'.
I now am gonna desinfect all my equippment with lysol and dettot and wash my hands with betadyne, using also alcohol everything must be sterile
