Noob question about getting a 2nd flush * 2

Hi, I'm in the process of my second grow and just had a fairly successful first flush and wish to hopefully get a 2nd flush going. For the last 3 or 4 days, I've been misting heavily once when I wake up, once or twice during the day, and once before going to bed while keeping the lids latched to decrease FAE. My sub is getting dry pretty fast (in 6 or so hours, give or take) even with the heavy misting. Is there anything I should change to help increase my chances of a 2nd flush, or should I just keep doing what I'm doing? Thanks for the help :grin:

Did you dunk it? Do you have pics? I don't dunk, I just heavily mist it and every time it looks dry I mist it heavily again. I only do second flushes occasionally but when I do that's what I do. And it always worked out.
Yea my sub on second flushes always get dry fast too, I guess that's normal if you didn't dunk it.

bottom water it: put about 1.5cm of water in the bottom of the tub. the substrate will soak it up, carefully drain the rest (I do this by putting another tub inside it to hold the block in place) and you're good to go. Sounds like under hydrated coir.

No I didn't dunk I've just been misting. I don't have pics right this moment but I can post some later
