2nd. flush on casing?

I get killer first flush on my casing, but the 2nd. flush is like shit I got only 3 shrooms on the 2nd flush. they were eq's done pf style. So what I would like to know is how do you get a good 2nd. flush?

Exactly how big was the first flush? Maybe the cake was too dry?

you could try a few things
1.re-sterilize vermiculate (or whatever casing stuff you used) and put more ontop of the casing. then spray the top with water (but not too much).
2.cold shock it
3. Perhaps even run a sterilezed fork through the suface to break it up a little. This will help you get more pins.

Im a new guy to the shroomery and just started getting into growing. Thankx roomie. I have found out in the past that fanning out fruiting chamber as much as you can is a good thing to do. Fresh air is good. Spray down cakes with H20 is great thing to do aswell. This will keep it from drying out, which has happened to me in the past. Help I could help out. The fork thing helps out too. Good first flush thought. :thumbup:

FAE (Fresh air exchange) is a key to sucess, and good fruits.
i make sure that the "casing trays" are properly hydrated, with H202 untill they start to pin. then i lay off a bit. untill i pull the flush. then i rehydrate with h2o2 again.
