There are LOADS of different salvias. I think a few others may have psychoactive properties, but I'm not too sure... several other species in the mint familly do.
A read of erowid might help.

This topic comes up a lot.. .If you would do a search you could find more than enough information. There are over 1000 species in the genus salvia. There actually are a few other species that are thought to be active. Primarily Salvia splendins which IS available at walmart and garden centers. There are some previous posts about it and a few other board members and I have done some bioassay with the material.

you will likely not find divinorum at any large commercial garden centers like walmart or any chains like that. However, it is sometimes available at smaller green houses that are owned by enlightened individuals but a lot of the times they are a bit more expensive than cuttings available online.

I don't think you could mistake common garden sage for Sally, but I could be wrong.

RussCann, i've read a few articles claiming the activity of other salvia's. how would you compare supurba to splendens? I know that they are generally very subtle but you seem to be very sensative and in tune with these teacher plants.
