I also go into fight or flight very easily, always assumed that it was from head injuries. 

My ideal dosing regimen would be L a few times a year with friends to clear out the cobwebs, mushrooms taken solo weekly to bi-weekly (self reflection) and a once a month ketamine vacation.

Man I'm the opposite. The shrooms clear out the cobwebs for me, it's very mentally challenging so I only do it maybe once every 3 months or so (or if I feel the occasion to arise, but it's not often, that's for sure)

LSD is what keeps me functional and in a good mood. Very cathartic to have a "me" day once every 2 weeks that I can just mess around and have fun on low doses and if I want to get introspective I'll take a higher dose

Shrooms just forces my trauma to surface and it always takes me for a ride that I'm just ready to get off as soon as it starts. Cathartic as well, but just... holy shit.

I guess if you have "an addictive personality" anything is possible...i have been know to smoke cig for cig with my fiancee on vacation and quit cold turkey when we get home. Pisses her off...

Both for me are, to some extent, an uncontrolled and unpredictable adventure. Even at low doses. Acid I've just gotten away from due to the combination of how long it lasts and issues around sourcing/cost/verification, though it'll always be near and dear to my heart. Shrooms are of a more manageable duration, and also have the obvious advantage of being a thing I can grow. But regardless, even in small amounts and for shorter duration, any hallucinogens just throw a whole monkeywrench into the very structure of my day. Doesn't matter what I thought I was going to get into, things always go sideways somehow. Shit that literally just doesn't seem to happen when I'm not tripping pops up out of nowhere. It's what both excites me avout them and puts me off from doing them regularly.

Every time my life starts to go smoothly, something god awful happens and throws a wrench in my plans and sends me back into the stone ages

I can do everything right and still somehow end up backwards, it's actually incredible to see awful my luck has been in the past few years

I'm just trying to accept that I don't have full control over what happens in life and to take responsibility for what I can do and for the things I have no control over, I'm just trying to come to terms with it

Shrooms can just have my thought-loop hard sometimes, which can be pretty awesome if it's a beautiful thought or god awful terrifying if I'm in a violent mental space that's just a mental torture chamber. Quite literally heaven or hell and I never know which one I'm going to get, but I will say it's pretty much always what I need when I do decide to take the plunge.

Can't ignore things forever, as much as I want to.
