When most go out to pasture ( opposed to dying in the seat), the heralded "I want to spend more time with my family" is used as the primary reason. I have heard a more than usual amount of "disfunction" as the cause for these exits...interesting times.

Dem committee did just cancel the Florida primary and forced Biden on the state without letting them have a vote.

The DNC literally just removed democracy and cries that trump will do so, despite whatever context there may be to what trump himself will do, the optics are horrendous, and trumps base will likely eat this up.

Imo.

that happens from time to time with incumbent presidents especially when the other primary candidates have literally no chance of winning.

whats the point? fractions of % of dem voters will pick a sure loser. but you dont wanna deprive people of a losing choice i guess. make decisions for them:blah:

i see both sides to it. personally i dont think it matters.

They removed democracy from the voters.. You can see both sides of it, but agreeing with the move?!

It’s statistically impossible so why bother? Oh wait.. ‘democracy’.

There's no right to democracy for every decision a private organization makes.  When Walmart sets prices, it doesn't hold a vote.  Why should the DNC?

Ya just look at the rnc.

They are auditioning for runner up in the hopes trump dies/goes to prison/be vp pick while the entire convo revolves around trump.

Biden wasn't going to campaign anyway, I'm just saying if y'all agree with this kind of authoritarian move to eliminate the democratic process in Florida so be it.

The DNC isn't a branch of the government yet they can supercede democracy..

Fuck democracy, go efficiency?!

I think that's the gist of what I'm hearing.

I think the process is important for having all candidates be heard, to hear the ideas and have the discussions about the issues that are important to voters.

That's what debates were supposed to be, but they might be a thing of the past.
