I am not saying he has zero influence.  Just that when that other guy said he made the country more totalitarian, he needs to prove that.  I think such a thing is more likely attributed to the incumbent president, who makes policies.

At this point Biden's being propped to run, he even said if trump wasn't running he wouldn't. And imo, at this point, without some drastic change or majorly positive policy, trump beats Biden hands down.


I don't think so. Biden is likely gonna beat Trump. He's got the name recognition. Democrats will hold their nose and vote blue this time, and Trump will make them turn out. Newsom doesn't quite have the name recognition yet to pull it off, but he's the likely democrat nominee going forward.

Unless someone pulls an Obama.

No, that's not my point.  My point was that Trump was not likely to be the cause for your country turning into a dictatorship.  He did a lot of things, some of which are truly questionable, but I doubt he can do as much damage as compared to, say, the POTUS.

Someone actually made a list of things he's guilty of.  I don't know how true they are, but I want to point out that anybody can do scummy things, but he will likely just be a scummy nobody.  A scummy nobody can only do so much damage.  That is my point.

But Trump is not a nobody. He is a former POTUS and the current and almost certainly guaranteed GOP frontrunner for the next POTUS.

And he has a powerful machine building the tools he will need to establish a dictatorship.

It happened on a large scale. Mostly in the swing states that actually decide who’s gonna be president. In our country most of our states are pretty set as either red or blue. Lots of the purple mailboxes vanished.

Wouldn't it be some kind of felony?  To interfere with the electoral process like that.  If Trump is truly found guilty of it, then he should go to jail.

Some people seem to think that I am a Trump supporter, I am not. I do not care whether he runs in 2024 one way or the other.

Trump hasn't done it yet, it's just suggested he will if re-elected because of what he's proposed to do..

Point being, the US isn't a dictatorship or the likes yet, just that trump might intend to turn it more authoritarian.

Though functionally the US is an oligarchy, the actual policy platform isn't authoritarian as of yet.

Well, Trump actually put somebody in charge of the USPS. Who did not have the American voters best interest at heart. They had trump’s best interest at heart.
So they tried to justify it with some thin excuse. But they ended up stealing a lot of mailboxes that did not come back.

Some people in our country have to wait almost an entire day to go and vote in person.
