Radiohead - Lucky

Probably one of my favorite songs by Radiohead is "Lucky" from the OK Computer album. The buildup of each verse leading into the chorus takes my mind places that no other song can quite reach. In concert, the one I went to, they played this song as the first song of their third encore and I was swept away by the performance! It was dark by the time they played the song...and just as Tom begins the first line of the chorus they would light up the entire back of the stage with about fifty ten-foot florescent tubes!

Lucky is a song (I think) about denile and struggle against an overbearing oppression. Denile of the world that surrounds us and all it's technological traps...and struggle against those who force this lifestyle upon us. It also touches upon the downfall of this lifestyle and the closing of the traps we set for ourselves with technology. Pull me out...

Plus the track is 4:20 long :wink:

Good song. I think it's about warped politicians. I like the way the bass line sort of bends a little flat in the beginning of the second verse.

I dont have alot of radiohead(although I have heard tons) and a couple months ago I found a tape with some radiohead on it and I love this song!!!!!!

I play it alot, I cant get enough of it!, and I dont know what its called or which album its from. :confuzed:

climbing up the walls from ok computer

its one of my favorites

you did butcher the lyrics a little though but thats ok cause alot of the lyrics are kinda mumbled. i dont know half of the words on ok and i have listened to that cd too many times to count. i just sing along with what it sounds like

i just realized a few days ago that the lyrics to morning bell are 'cut the kids in half' after listening to both kid a and amnesiac for years

but yeah, get ok computer or any other radiohead cd

Yep that's Climbing Up The Walls from OK Computer! It's been described as the only "scary" song in Radiohead's collection. Thom has said that it's about everything that goes bump in the night...about the fear that someone is looking in through your window while you sleep, or hiding in your closet. It's about those eyes that people see burning into their mind...and it terrifies them.
