yeah the whole thing is out there if you look for it its hard to pick a best song. the whole thing is good. a lot of it sounds like the gloaming or worrywort to me, skittery electronics. the track is track 3 the clock.

I haven't heard any of the new tracks...I don't care to either, since I'm gonna hear most of em the next two nights!

I'm armed: I've got a joint, it's not a fattie, more of a pinner, but it's definitely enough for a man alone to get stoned to the gourd, which I shall, since my girlfriend won't be smoking this evening. It's 5:30 now. Headed to the venue around 7:30. Between now and then I'm going to drink vodka tonics.
Then, I'm gonna drink beers during The Black Keys and their awesome bluesy shit.
Then I'm gonna light up this joint right when Radiohead starts their first song, which I am gonna call out right now as The Gloaming, that's definitely what I think they're gonna start with.
The bassline is stuck in my head.....!!!

i saw 'em in maryland (merriweather post pavilion) during their tour for Hail to the Thief. i have been a radiohead fan since the day Kid A came out and I bought it.. listened to it (before i even smoked weed or anything) and was hooked. i didn't even remember hearing creep back in the 90s when it was huge.. so it was totally new to me.
i've been addicted ever since. my point is, you will fucking love them live. they have so much ambiance and stage presence.. it's like they're an entity.
if you're anything like me (and have binocs or a close enough view) you'll watch jonny greenwood the most. he's absolutely brilliant and it's awesome to see him do his shit live. like "idioteque" for example. it will be the most powerful song you've ever heard live.
have fun dude, i seriously friggin' envy you.

Off I go...this is Radiohead show #10 for me, if I've counted correctly. Honestly, I don't watch any one of them more than the others, they're all hypnotic in their own ways.

None of the stuff off of his new solo album, The Eraser. They did play a slew of new Radiohead songs though including 15 Step, Arpeggi, House of Cards, and a couple of others. They did a rendition of Fake Plastic Trees that made me cry. A lot. The Bends rocked my world. Fuck, Radiohead is so awesome. I Might Be Wrong is the coolest song EVAR.

More tonight...
I really think they'll open with The Gloaming tonight since they didn't last night, but shit, Radiohead's one of the most unpredictable live bands around these days so I have no idea. They'll probably debut a new song that hasn't even been played yet this year, something I'm definitely excited about. My top 5 songs I wanna hear tonight are Black Star, Planet Telex, The Gloaming, Where I End and You Begin, and Let Down.
Oh yeah...and Paranoid fuckin' Android.

Yeah.
I saw em a few years back at Liberty State Park when they were touring Amnesiac.
Then in 2003 I saw them at Beacon Theatre and three days later at the Field Day Festival. Then I saw them later that summer in NJ, then again in Colorado at Red Rocks, then in Vancouver at Thunderbird Stadium.
That fall, I saw them twice at MSG. Then I saw them again at Coachella the following May. Last night was #10 and tonight makes 11 and I could see them every fucking night and be completely happy. If I had a ton of savings, I would follow them on their next tour.

Wow, that's quite a repertoire of radiohead shows. If I had the cash I'd definitely catch them anytime they came to the US.. they have the uncanny ability to schedule shows at the absolute worst time for me. Ah well, I saw them once and that was enough to satiate my thirst for them but I can't deny that if I could, I'd watch them at every possible show.
When I mentioned Jonny, the only reason I mentioned him was because of how entertaining it is to see all the gizmos he uses. It's fun to watch him & Ed tweak all the samplers/delays/etc on EIIRP, and when he uses the analog synth on Idioteque.. I just geek out on the equipment part of it all. I've never seen so much variety.
Do they still seem to be in high spirits on stage? When I saw them, it was the first time they had played Creep in years I think. They seemed very happy..
Enjoy yourself brotha' man, I'll be here wishing I was there.

Hey. Headed to my girlfriend's in a sec to do some pre-gaming before the show. Just wanted to say they look beyond high spirits on stage..they look like they're are emotionally and enthusiastically enjoying every second of what they're doing, and since this tour is one of experimentation with the new songs, you can tell it's fresh and raw and they're loving it. Even the stage decorations are very simplistic (a shattered set of screens broadcasting sepia and b/w-toned images).
Tonight, my seats are section 204 Row B, which is a perfect spot to watch Jonny. I didn't get to watch him much last night but tonight I'm sure I'll be transfixed.
