Contams that is bacterial, fungal or viral can produce toxins. If you sit around munching on 3 week old moldy food then I wouldn't worry about it. If however you find the idea of eating the mystery colored thingie of the week unappealing then I would reconsider.

Some people will be here soon enough to tell you that there is no proof that mushrooms coming from contaminated mycelia will contain the toxins from it's paresites however when you are not identifing what the contams are you are really playing Russian Roulette.
