hey people.. everyone should be out there taking advantage of the recent wet weather.. ive come across several neglected spots which have died away however there were some positives, inluding the discovery of these big subs! :

Here's the rest of the subs Emmett and i got today.

that cap that Emmett posted is 8cm across the stem is 1cm thick and very firm.

the pics were taken just a few hours after picking,they were very mature when we found them. Another two or three days and they would have been well and truly rooted.

I find that most of the subs i have spotted have been groing in woodchips. In the wild there aren't a lot of woodchips so do you find them on stumps, broken branches, at the base of trees or where? (Not that i've seen a shortage of woodchips, with subs popping up in them.)
