Cool are those Gymnopilus? Any green staining? They look a bit like G. purpuratus.

yeah, tell me about those strophs, once the season gets into full swing they seem to totally overcrowd the woodchips. ive found those things in their hundreds.

Argh, those strophs, I didn't check for any bruising on the ones in the bonsai pot, i will have to do it next time i check on them, theyve got orangeish gills if that makes any difference. I just checked out my patches, heres a few inactives that have started coming up.
EDIT: I went out and picked one of the smaller mushrooms growing in the pot to get some better pictures.

I'm curious to know what species the coned shape ones are. I've seen lots of these on my walk today.

Went hunting again today and found some galerinas which is generally a good sign. Picked some shaggy parasols and made a stir-fry for dinner.
No actives yet.

lwns: These are Omphalotus nidiformis, they glow in the dark at night! Somewhat poisonous and not to be confused with oysters.
Please put ID requests as new threads in the mushroom hunting forum so they don't fill up the season thread and so more people have a chance of IDing your mushroom.

Can't believe i only just saw this thread now! Am going to check my patches in 30 mins or so, im expecting to find subs.
Consistent rain over the past few days, combined with low temps and now sunshine has me hoping for pinning at least.
Will report back when i return.

Well i was in luck, not a huge patch but definitely promising for this time of year. Left them be to spread their precious little spores.
(^^^How cool is the stem)
-
Last one is a bit blurry, my macro was playing up for some reason.
Anyway, i'll leave them be for a week and hope they spread the mycellium around.
