Azzies like the XTRA cold temps when hoses freeze each night but thaw mid day for watering.    Azzies LIKE IT NORTH in the cold
I haven’t had such variety as all these folks here, but cyans and allenii had a way earlier season and I had tough azi I just kept expanding. https://
These got too cold and burried in 6” of snow few days later
Azzie ride the LINE OF freezing:cheers:

Thought this would be cool to share.  These are subaeruginosa that I have growing at my place. Ones in the left are the originals, and ones on the right are offspring I cultivated from spores.

the parents

The children

Both patches pinned about the same day, the offspring is in a bit more exposed area, but real close.  Just thought it was neat how different they are.
Sorry for not collecting prints and doing giveaways this year.  It’s been really hard collecting anything clean enough I felt I could just pass out to anyone.  So many of the fruits have had gnats, and worms in them when it was warm, and things went right to freezing immediately.  I was taking clones last night and when I checked  out the fruits under the scope I could see all kinds of stuff going on, worms, larvae, eggs, and I’m thinking that blotchy bacterial stuff has more to do with mites.  I’ll do my best to at least get something together to pass around, if things perk back up.  Good weather is in the forecast.

Yea not sure who mentioned it in this thread, but in the warm weather the little fungus gnats flying around are laying larvae in the gills. They mentioned every dark spot was was a larvae.  Sure enough once I checked each dark spot had one.  I tossed a lot this year.

Hi everyone,
I'm back after not posting for a while. My bed that I started from spores sent to me by a lovely member of this forum :inlove3:
took about 1.5 years from spores to fruits but the feeling is amazing !
Here are some pictures:

I put the colonized chips in the walkway of the garden, however they decided to go into the soil and mainly fruit in a mini greenhouse that's just besides the bed. Some also fruited in the small space between the walkway and the greenhouse.
Amazing to see how fast they move and how they decide where to fruit !

Thanks to everyone, this thread was my bible while learning about woodlovers.

Found this guy in a gill plate.  Soooooo damn small I think that four point formation just below it is basidia.

A homie from Switzerland shared with me my first woodlovers print, Ps Cyan. And it germinated in 3 days! How exciting.

Thanks again!!

Got my first pins going from some beds I started last year. There’s at least 3+ separate patches that I started all around my yard that are pinning now.

Anyone think maybe putting a mini greenhouse tent over an established patch right before the season is a good idea?  Maybe jacked up on blocks so a little air blows through?  I'm thinking it might piss the fungus off

I've been taking some pictures this year of some interesting finds, and just not posting them.  I need to find my memory card reader lol.  I found some Ps serbica growing sort of "wild" where I guess the spores blew them to fruit about 40 ft or so from where they were planted and havent fruited in a few years.

And I have a 3 big mounds of wood chips, say 30 ft apart from each other that were dropped there like a year apart from each other, years after the last Gym luteofolius grow I did in my yard, and every one of them had this species fruit from it, and I've never seen this one grow wild around here.

This sort of thing really fascinates me.

Amazing how clones from buggy outdoor mushrooms will be nothing but slimy goo for a week, then your thinking the fuzz that’s coming out of the goo has got to be mold for a week, and then, Bam!  That’s the fungi I’m going for!

This gives me some hope. Got a nice cyan clone that looked perfect til it oozed.
Now ovoids are just a pool of bacc I'm eyeballing for any fuzz.

You could always transfer them to wet cardboard, not a lot for bacteria to eat on there but the cyan and ovoid will have a nice feast.
