Last Azzies. Was a good season, total ~13g dry. The spore drop from the large one was quite impressive, you can see it on the stipe. This one was also far from the others, in a spot where I've placed the mycelium but never actually saw fruits. Not sure why it decided to produce a lone giant

I looked at the picture without reading and my mind immediately said "Oh, Adas made it out to the Oregon coast!"

That is a HUGE chonker of an azzie.  If I saw that in the wild I would have probably passed it up as something else.  If it's not too late clone it!

My azzies are just getting started, more pins showing up every day:

I'd fancy an Oregon coast trip sometime

It weighed 16g, my 2020 record was 25g. Both hefty chonkers. You're right I ALMOST passed it! Due to the cap being so old it almost looked like Coprinopsis melanthina, which is a great, very common and reliable indicator species in this area. In any case I took a closer look and saw blue on the cap.

Well, if you ever make it out I'm sure myself and a couple other folks would totally be down to do field trips to the coast.

I think this is flush number 5 (or 4, I lost count). I harvested my first Cyan flush at the beginning of October, and today's the beginning of December. Woodlovers beds are the gift that keeps on giving :yesnod:

Also, it's quite colder now and humidity doesn't drop anymore, these fruits are taller and meatier than in October:

I think after drying these, I'll have harvested close to 200 grams dried - I don't know what to do with these anymore

So y’all think cyans are as strong or stronger than azurescens? Interesting.

Hell yeah Melgo! They really are the gift that keeps on giving. I'm sure you can find plenty people to make happy with the rest of these super strong life changing mushies before the next season.

Nice to see all the fruits here lately. A bit of a late season for many. Let's hope it rides on for a bit longer.

Still some cyans coming up. Today's harvest:

Man, y’all Europeans make the PNW look like a harsh climate for these things.  Pretty cool to see them hop the globe and find what could be their new place on this ball.
Egon, I was checking out iNaturalist last night and found that there’s been a handful of ovoid patches in Southern California.  As far south as San Diego, and as far inland as San Benadino, that’s the damn southern desert.  I’d imagine they’re all in irrigated landscaping.

It depends. The Netherlands is very different than Central Europe.

I bet, when it was 105f here it was in the 80s on the coast.  I’m right about on the edge of where these things can survive in their own.  Adas, have you tried aztecorum?  They’re probably the closest thing to the cyans that shows up naturally inland as far as I can see.  I’m not sure what family they’re in.  Need to make an effort to get those genetics spread around more, see what they can do across the globe.

We have Serbica here which is close to Aztecorum. It's basically cold-fruiting Aztecorum, lol. I've had them before but the culture tended to contaminate, trying to clone another fruit as we speak. This one:

It has been my experience that cyans are on average more potent to azzies.  I find the nature of the high to be preferable as well.

Unfortunately, I know literally no-one around where I live to whom I could give some away. It's prohibited here. I don't talk about it - and no one cares about it (the old stigmas prevail here). The only 3 people I give some to, trip with me, like once a year and that's about it.

It's a shame

Nice harvest

Lol, same bro. It's literally hard to find people to give them to. And telling the wrong ones will get ya in trouble. It sucks, but I guess some fruits will need to find their way to the compost pile then

Hey now, just because I ate a half oz mix of azzies and ovoids, drank three bottles of wine, and swam naked under a waterfall in a public park doesn't mean I'm dumb.

It means I'm a fucking genius.

I had a hell of a wedding, let me tell you what.
all downhill from there though.

How was the azza/ovoids blend? I recently experimented with 1:1 tamp stones/cubes and it was the wildest ride so far. Now I’m looking forward to experimenting with Ovid/tamp blend.
