Kook Kwick DeLuxe pressure cooker, anyone ever use one?
    #2788550 -

Haven't been to these boards in many moons.
I used to use an autoclave sterilizer but have had a few
"accidents"--bags and stuff breaking and causing expensive repairs. I have two pressure cookers now. One is just fine,
but recently got this wierd one. It doesn't have a rubber seal but the cover twist into place. Steam leaks around the edges. Im not sure if Im locking it correctly. Anyone? Anyone? Go here to look its still on the ebay database.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N%3AIT&rd=1 web page  mod if this needs to go to advanced--please move. thanks!

Thanks. The bag problem was because of super high pressure medical autoclave.I can't afford another cleanup and quart jars don't fit unless one at time on their sides. There is no groove for a rubber gasket on this crazy Kook Kwick.
That's why it's a mystery to me. The lid locks, but doesn't seem to seal. As it boils the lid actually rises a little; something funky about this locking ring. I'll keep an eye on ebay, maybe another with instructions will show up. I have a Presto that works great. It was great fun looking in on the shroomery again. Perhaps I'll be around. Had fun looking at the Martha set up.

I have a No. 19 Kook/Kwick steam pressure cooker. on mine the lid just slides in place but then it has a round clamp that fits around the lid and the cooker body. this has a bolt to tighten to hold in place.let me know if you need more information or pictures.
