The P. violacea seedling that made it here is the VIP... If that is active, maybe the cross breed laura bushes are (which would be astounding) but I would be content if the VIPs were active.

EDIT: Hah, read the very last line...
Quote:
The ?Laura Bush? Petunia has the same special qualities of its ?mother?, but has larger blooms and is more cold tolerant.

Well, as usual I still can't sleep yet and so I've decided to try a tea now. Made a tea of ten or eleven grams and simmered over an hour so I'd be sure to get everything out of it. Just drank it over about 5 minutes or so and it was not pleasant. Yuck. Alright, so I'll update in a bit.

Locus, I dont know what to tell ya. Some plants i've had to try 30 times before they actually worked. Some plants I get on the first try.

Untill I hear a good report, i think i'll hold off on buying a kilo.

Alk, not exactly sure how much water I used but it was a good amount. I got the foliage down to powder and small pieces. Simmered over an hour which made the tea fit into one large cup. By the time I drank it the tea had a very strong taste. So the Shanin I got must not be the same as yours then right? Should I post or send a pic or something?

perhaps in long term heat treatment (simmering for and hour) the good stuff gets destroyed

I didn't simmer mine. I powdered and ran it through the coffee maker.. So it was probably only in contact with the water for like 10 minutes tops.
