Yes, and a nice flower it is too, i'm assuming he's grown it.
I think pearly gates are I.tricolor, they're usually white.
I'm no expert though, ive only grown Heavenly Blue and Flying Saucers.
Heres's a couple of I.purpurea i found on google.

Obviously colours vary alot, a decent leaf shot might be helpful.

sorry to get your panties in a twist mike but pm's calling me condescending and rude and crap are just uncalled for. better dealt with in PM instead of here, but still uncalled for as my post had no rude intention. sorry if my statement came out offensive or rude to anyone, just seemed such a wide statement for so little visual to work with.

I called you condescending,, which you are ( just look at your past ratings/posts ) " better dealt with in PM instead of here " my point exactly !
No rude intentions-
" nice grow? I'm sorry but all u can see is a flower " Fuck off ! I was being nice, backing him up on his good work.
Ninny, i'm too drunk to argue this now. The fact you even brought this up in this forum is kinda pathetic.

ok, now that the ladies have stopped discussing (jk!), lets come back to the subject - i'm gonna take a little advantage of this thread:
i never saw I. purpurea for sale on the seed stands (here in brazil) but i have always seen some flowers that looked pretty much like Ipomoeas (on the seed label) but they were labelled as Convulvus tricolor... would it be the same?
