Look I went to ryches house and traded him a HUGE bag of rocks. And these weren't normal rocks these were migical rocks. They are similar to the magic beans that that old guy always sells to boys named jack w/ a cow.
Ok with these magic rocks whatever they touch will grow quick as hell and big as hell; but whatever is growing must be inconstant contact with the magic rocks and when they loose contact the growing thing dies. That's why body builders don't use it. I sold rych e HUGE bag for $200 but I will sell them to people here for $2-3 each (depending on size).
You all should see a cake with a migic rock in the middle. Reply here if you want to buy any.

This stuff is high in organic nitrogen and phosphorous which are good it is also low in magnesium and potassium which could slow the growth of fungi. Fish have been used for centuries for their benifits in improving soil condition. This could greatly improve anyones compost if it was added.

I'd like to try it, but it seems kinda expensive to put in compost, but I guess it is concentrated. I'm gonna make some good compost this summer with my tumbler and will share results especially if they're good. I think we all need to experiment alot with it if we have the recources this summer. Also if anyone that has bought the DB kit has any ideas of it's composition and cares to share that would be nice.

Here is a quote that I just found on the internet from this Penn State University web page about Mushroom Substrate Preparation for WhiteButton Mushroom
"VIII. During Phase II keep compost in the temperature range where microorganisms grow best (115-140o F).
Microbes convert ammonia and ammonia containing salts into protein and other nitrogen compounds the mushroom uses for food.
The growth of these microbes depends on having the available food, adequate moisture, sufficient oxygen and suitable temperature. A shortage of one of these requirements will limit growth and often results in incomplete conditioning."
I bolded the important part of the quote.
Neptune's Harvest fish hydrolysate is already in protien form.
$13.00 for a quart of concentrated stuff makes 32 gallons. That's definatly in my buget.

If you haven't gone to toadlicker's link, do so. That is absolutely disgusting. But there's no way for any of us to tell if that's the source of the "partially digested grain" although this is (unfortunately) used in mushroom compost.
Now that I've seen that, I'll be sure NEVER to buy any compost with those ingredients whether it comes from Ryche Hawk or Joe Schmoe.

I was serious about the fish hydrolysate from Neptunes Harvest. It looks like some good stuff.

I haven't had a chance to look at toadlickers site yet, will tomorrow, but that ridx might be good if it doesn't have alot of chemicals, you can buy compost accellerator which is basically powdered bacteria. The urine definately provides high nitrogen content. I have a milk factory close to me, I'm gonna try to find out where they keep their cows.

Damn you! Look at this site!
http://www.bardiamond.com/1a.html
It's fucking horrifying! This is the source of partially digested grain in SOME mushroom compost. I dont know what's in Ryche Hawks, but if you look on the site it actually says this.

Yes, that is terrible, I joked about that before when ryche first said partially digested feed, but didn't think it could be realistic.
