Question about compost composition..will it work?

so i've been trying to contact some of the commercial mushroom farms in my area to see if any of them sell they're unspent compost which they normally make..i haven't had much luck getting thru to any of them yet though..so i looked in the phonebook under compost..turns out there's a few places in town which recycle people's lawn clipping, ect into compost..my question is this..would compost made from lawn scrap be good enuf for our purposes, or is manure/straw ect. a nessesary ingridient in a mushroom growing compost?..thankz..

hey all..just wanted to drop the link i found which i'm using to locate a commercial mushroom farm in my area..i didn't have much luck using the phonebook, so if anyone else is interested in obtaining commercially produced "unspent" mushroom compost in your area, check out this link ..it lists mushroom farms from about 25 or so different states by area code, although about half of those from oregon at least are disconnected as far as i can tell..anywayz..peace..
