---
Extra:
Different mushroom species nearby:
1. red flat medium mushrooms, possible: Leratiomyces ceres
2. small brittle triangular shaped mushrooms (I see these all the time other locations).
3. Another small, but round grey-tan-brown mushroom.

(2) and (3) were co-located with the primary species.

That's what I would call them, although some of them, like the ones in the 2nd pic look more like P. cyanescens so it might me a mixed collection. They're all Psilocybe sp. anyhow.

The orange looks like Leratiomyces ceres, but would need to see the underside. The next pic is Mycena sp., and the last one looks like Psatyrella sp.

All of the Psilocybe are Psilocybe cyanescens.

You also have Leratiomyces ceres, Mycena leptocephala and Collybiopsis peronata or something close to that.

Thanks for the ID Alan and Moria!

Pretty cool to see the cyanscens ID as I had been hoping to spot some this year.  I did have a small sense that there could be some in there with some of the bending / slightly wavy specimens.  Although I was not sure if that was enough of a feature to distinguish them (unless really wavy like the ones I saw in my first season) as there was a semi-wavy patch ID'ed as allenii last year.  Though after looking at some more photos and threads - I think I'm seeing more of a difference at least in some scenarios (more rounded cap) and maybe the slight difference in the gills when mature.

Thanks again! :toast:

Definitely run into some wavy allenii from time to time. I too found some allenii my first season that I thought were cyans, but were ID’ed as being Allenii. There was a pretty decent little patch with flat capped/wavy capped allenii. It’s interesting to see the different phenotypes of various mushrooms.
