Where to start with Fox news....

I watch Fox News sometimes. The only thing I really like about it
is Bill O'Reilly. We do not agree on everything, but I respect
his intelligence and powers of articulation. His show gets me
thinking.

There are some things I don't like about it. It is at times blatantly
conservative. Not that there is anything wrong with that, except
that they don't admit it. For example, on "Hannity and Colmes",
Hannity is the conservative and Colmes is the liberal. Hannity
always appears above Colmes in pictures for the show. Hannity's name
is first. And Hannity seems to be quicker and smarter than Holmes.
It's like they picked a slower and not so good looking liberal to
make Hannity look better.

All of the personalities of Fox News(except Colmes) are decidedly
conservative(listen to their editorials and you'll agree with me).

Fox News colors are red, white, and blue.

Have you noticed how all news outlets call terrorist suicide
bombings "suicide bombings", yet Fox calls them "homicide bombings"?

So in closing, I think Fox News leans slightly to the Right. Not
that that is horrible(it is can be a nice change from blatantly
liberal news), but I feel as if journalism is a realm that should
remain unbiased. They should just report the facts and not inject
opinion into it. That's my 2 cents.

and as for assault weapons, wouldnt that include anything that could be used in an assault?

you can try arguing that there is a greater quantity of liberal media outlets, but surely youre not arguing that fox news is less blatantly biased than the other channels?

I think CNN is much more blatently leaned then Fox News, but there is still an obvious right tendancy, especially on the morning and day time shows.

I remember watching CNN was I was 10 years old at my grandmas house, and I couldnt understand why they werent letting other people talk without the host interrupting them before they could say mearly anything, and then having the audience applaud to the hosts view. Was a daytime show where there were a ton of people sitting in chairs around. I was so young, and still saw it as being leaned unfairly.

Fox News is leaned too, but its not anywhere near as severe. I cant watch CNN because its hard to get the story strait there, fox news you get more of hte story, and a lean to the right vs what im used to watching, every other news station leans to the left. A change is nice.

I Cant stand Fox news. Their news is absolutely hilarious. Most of the reporters dont seem very smart to me and always dumb down things when talking about particualar stories.

Hannity and his bunch are spin doctors i dont think ive seen one show of Hannity and Colmes that didnt talk about what John Kerry did 35 years ago. I honestly dont give a fuck what Kerry did 35 years ago.

Cable news is shit. TV news is shit. There are tons of tv stations, yet they are all owned by a very very small number of companies. Although some people claim the media for the most part is run by liberal jews, we should all remember even liberal jews will bow to governmental/FCC pressures. MTV would not show Madonna's video for American Life when it was released because of the sentiments that were expressed. And that's MTV, the supposedly young free network for the new generation. I take everything I see and hear with a grain of salt and try to keep my eyes open for bullshit. Its practically impossible to find a news report without any bias whatsoever.

Can you give me an example of this blatantly liberal news Randall? Say one mainstream news source that questioned the propaganda about WMD in Iraq before the war? Just find it hard believing the news is so blatantly liberal when the WMD propaganda got such an easy ride. Anatol Lieven called it "A propaganda program which for systematic mendacity has few parallels in peacetime democracies".

Perhaps after Powell presented that load of garbage about WMD to the UN, which news source in America said "Wait a minute, we're not convinced"?
