I do repairs sometimes for a property management co that owns over 150 units.  They own another very successful company and are freakin loaded.
The dad (owner) let his kid take over 2 years ago and neither one of them know how to coordinate repairs or the first thing about construction

When I work for them, I am at as many as 15 houses a week and everyone of those tenants just wants to complain about the landlord the whole time

I used to try to advise them about properties and "tenant satisfaction" (I have rentals myself also) until I realized they didn't want to hear it.  That kid is gonna have the business ran into the ground in ten years or less

I'm not an American, but as to the American Dream..

The Dutch dream is that even the poor and unemployed can make it, that the only people homeless are the people with significant mental impairmeents and that they too get outreah to get back on their feet, even if it means living in an old folks home for junkies.

Yes we have those, care facilities where elderly intravenous drug users can live as a group, assisted, using their H for as long as their habit lets them, unless they decide to quit.

We even made Heroin a prescription drug so that addicts can receive it as Rx.

Yeah, greedy self aggrandizing self righteous asshole fuckfaced fuckheads will NEVER do good things like that due to their ignorance of drug use/abuse and how the system has been set up by certain people to have the machine run a certain way to benefit those that play the way they system runners want you to. Drove downtown yesterday and saw several homeless people AND several empty buildings that could be used for housing and reintegrating the people who just need one little break to be a productive member of society.

I hear you psion. Some people will NEVER see the way things could be,  only what they want to see.

It's difficult to have pride in anything when most of this generation's population has mental disorders up the wazoo. After dealing with a shitty job market since 2008 I definitely don't have the same drive and desire for life that I used to. Even though last year was a great vacation, I'm having to go back to work and I'm burnt out again. And I've reached another point in my life where I'm having suicidal thoughts again. So yeah tell me how I'm supposed to have pride for this $15 an hour job that doesn't give me full time hours and give me the most unstable schedule?

The banana flavors in banana flavored candy believe it or not actually come from the old time bananas from the 1850's when they used to taste really creamy and a lot sweeter. The typical bananas of nowadays and even in the last half century have all been Bread to taste bland and nasty. There are videos on YouTube of dogs straight up refusing to eat McDonald's meat but they will eat a different kind of meat. If the dog can sense something inside of the meat then I don't think I would ever touch it even for a million dollars. Well actually now that I think about it I might eat one patty for a million dollars but just one and I would need the money up front.
