Even worse, the Dems sold out on Iraq in order to accomplish this meaningless gesture.
Guess I'll be voting Libertarian in the next election.

That would be nice, but it's not going to happen, and I just can't bring myself to register as a Republican, even for one election.

Ron Paul is running as a Republican. I'm talking about the Libertarian Party.

I would like to vote for Ron Paul, but like I said, I don't want to register as a Republican. I'm not even really a libertarian in my views(at least not strongly so -- I suppose I could qualify as a moderate libertarian), but after this recent betrayal by the Dems, I don't think I could bring myself to vote for them. And since the Green Party is too socialist for me, I'll probably just vote for the Libertarian candidate, if at all.

I don't believe they've had their primary yet. Both Doug Stanhope and Steve Kubby seem like candidates I'd support.

I would be extremely surprised if Ron Paul gets the nomination, but if he does, he's definitely got my vote.

Do you believe that because someone is an entertainer that that automatically makes them a bad candidate?

Bush/Cheney triples the price of gas in six years, which in turn raises the prices of everything else. New homes have nearly doubled in price in the last six years, new car prices continue to climb, but giving the poorest people in the country a small raise after ten years without one, and THEY get blamed for inflation. What a crock. RR

Per 2004 government data: there were approximately 75 million or so workers in the US who are paid an hourly wage. Of that number, only around 1.5 million were paid at or near, and 500 thousand paid below, the prevailing federal minimum wage of $5.15 in 2004.
http://www.bls.gov/cps/minwage2004.htm
Those numbers make for unpleasant dissembling on both sides of the political aisle, of you ask me.

Entry level jobs. Unskilled. General any fucking body who can sign their X and breathe getting a raise???? Kind of fucks the guy he's working next to that spent the time to gain a skill and earn a little more for it. Guess it's the skilled worker stuck carrying the torch? /devil's advocate here. come on with it anyways.

Look at whats happened to the dollar's value relative to foreign currencies- its gone down alot. That means it will take more american dollars to buy foreign goods-> meaning prices rise -> inflation. This would happen regardless of the raise to middle wage.

There's no new energy or product or anything created by raising unskilled labor wages. It reduces the value of our dollar.
Cheap democratic pull for votes.
