Yeah I think it's just a popular myth that the 100% beef claim is false or misleading somehow.


I don't find McDonalds to be especially bad quality here for fast food burgers. At least the patties. Though it's not all that cheap. Burger King stands out as being the worst burger chain.

Hey now I worked for the BK Lounge when I was in high school, their food was a tier above McD's at the time, if only for my hard work!

They both suck about equally where I live.  But hey, they're building a Popeyes here and there's a Whataburger and a Freddy's two towns over.  Oh shit, now there are subpar food options everywhere.

Seriously though I worked for BK as a teenager and that is easily the worst job I've ever worked at minimum wage.  That is worse than skinning deer and hogs for people who refuse to do it themselves, after you found them in the swamp because they're such a terrible shot.

I could say I'm 100% human meat and it would be true. But I'm also more than meat and to make me a fast food burger you need preservatives, bare minimum. If you like me to present proof, exhibit A would be the fact that if you cook 100% beef and leave it in your closet, it will rot and mold. There's lots of examples of MacDonald's burgers not doing this. Even the salt alone in their patties, I'd argue is relatively unhealthy. Everything they serve is profit-margin BS and I don't think I have any reason to trust their claim is anything "political"/marketing while they skirt the line of reasonable comprehension in regard to "100% beef."

Their shit is cooked while it's still frozen.  At least here.  There really can't be much added to the patties, I mean, they're bland as hell. That's why they taste like your grandmother who lived through The Depression cooked them.

That might explain the texture but it doesn't explain the consistency or the flavour. At least the ones here, they definitely don't taste like plain meat. I have a sensitive palate. The angus patties are legit but the cheapo shit like the ones for everything else there's just no way that's only meat. I've made and bought so many burgers. There's probably a chip wagon/food truck within eyesight of your MacDonalds that has an obvious example of the contrast between the two

I'm being honest when I say I worked for BK as a teenager. It's all beef patties, unseasoned, cooked from frozen.  Some chains might do it differently, and I've been out of that game for like 14 years.  But those steak burgers and the fancier beef menu items, run through the same cooking process: impinger or similar type of oven.

There is a reason you cook your own burgers and there is a reason you buy fast food burgers.  Only relation is that you're hungry

I trust that the government authorities who regulate what you are allowed to claim about food probably haven't been duped by McDonalds. But they do add salt and pepper when they're cooking them.

Often with those demos where the burger doesn't rot, lack of humidity will have a lot to do with it. And of course the salt content.

Salt is a problem with a McDonalds meal for sure, but they probably add more to the fries than the patty. Plus salty condiments and whatever.

Considering the triage our society needs to do with wealth and support I would say absolutely. We don't hardly care for people who really do need help. Why should we start anywhere but with who absolutely needs society's help first? Nah let's push for 15/hr wages while we haven't tackled real issues with our society being able to take care of it's needy

Fuck McD's.  I don't care what's in it, all I know is after one burger, I'm taking a bad shit within an hour and that ain't normal for my iron stomach

Most people's attitudes and work ethic sux these days.  I'm mid-40s and have my own construction co.  Small enough I do most things myself and sometimes have 1 employee working 32-40 hrs a week.  My most recent hire was the son on a friend who seemed eager to earn but had no experience.  He showed up everyday high AF and every time he was sent around the corner for a tool would come back smelling like a fresh toke.  I got nothing against weed but it's place isn't on a construction site.  I wouldn't even let the kid run the saw due to his statement of "I don't get high, I STAY high".  When I'd ask the kid to lift a board up, he would often ask me 3x..."UP?" Yes, up, you know...the opposite of down!!!

I suggested not being high on the job and his response was "FUCK THAT!"
3 weeks into the job he asked for a whopping fucking 50% raise...
He got a 5% raise with the agreement that he would need to stop being so damn high to which he agreed, then a few days later he made up a story that a buddy of his just started a business building decks and was going to move out of state and let him run it for "a ton of money"... I wished him good luck with that and he still hits me up looking for work because his story about the other job was BS

You gotta work like you're making more than you are in order to actually make more than you are.  Not all bosses will value that but you can't expect to get more without giving more than you're earning first.

Most people won't work hard because they feel like it won't get them anywhere.  While it's true that it won't always get you the raise you want with every employer, you have zero chance of getting somewhere if you don't put forth the effort to get there

So if we follow your line of reasoning, real wages can't move up or down, that's obviously not true.
