sterile water bottles

in the pf tek it gives times to sterilize water bottles? why would you?

for making syringes,karo tek,some people inject sterile water into a verm resevoir in their cakes,ect..All kinds iof reasons.

but buying distilled stopes you from having to do this right? , i thought i would suck sterile water out of a self healing port in a gal of distilled water wouldnt that be ok?

no sterile water and distilled water are different.All distilled means is all the chemicals and minerals ect.. are gone,it can still be unsterile.Sterilizing kills any contams or bacteria that may be present.

The distillation process is accomplished by heating the water to steam and running it through a condenser to convert it back to a liquid.
It seems to me that the phase change would effectively sterilize the h2o,but keeping it this way would totally rely on the sterile conditions in which the water is condensated and placed into the containers. I cant say for sure that this part of the bottling process is totally asceptic. Most bottles of distilled water also say that it has been ozonated and UV treated also ,so it would stand to reason that it is not.
Basically I am saying that distilled water is probably very,very close to completely sterile,but I cant give a 100% guarantee!
