Using distilled water in a PC?
    #1055821 -

Can you use distilled water in you rPC??
1. THe Vicks steamer instructions state you need minerals in the water to produce steam.
2. The PC with distilled water reached pressure, but the pop-up pressure indicator didn't have as much resistance as it usually does if you tap it.

Has anyone tried distilled water in the PC before?

I use an AA 25X steam sterilizer, and I use distilled water to cut down on mineral buildup on the heating element. I use aproximately 9:1 distilled water to bottled drinking water, haven't had any problems as of yet.

The Vicks thing was more for background info.
Follow me; PC uses steam to sterilize. Vicks steamer says you must ass salt to soft  water to produce steam. That's how I got to the Vicks part.

With tap water, the pop-up pressure indicator offers a lot of resistance(15 pounds worth perhaps ?) With distilled water, there was hardly any resistance on the little pop-up.  I guess 15Lbs., is always 15 Lbs.????I know that sounds weird, but I don't know how else to describe it.
