It was Iamshaman that I purchased mine from. Another website that had it for sell, some dutch site I think, had it listed as to drink it, or smoke it in combination with MJ. Wish I still had the bit that I ordered to try a tea with it.

I should mention a few notes here to summarise..

I powdered 10 grams and ran it through the coffee maker just once , added a tea bag of earl grey and sugar.. It wasn't that pleasant but not bad at all. It kicked in after about 5-10 minutes and I started to feel high. Within an hour I felt very very spiritual and natural and motivated. Very excited to find out that this plant was indeed active (which I highly doubted prior to consuming it).. After about 1 1/2 hours I felt VERY levitated , like I was on a boat in the middle of the ocean rocking back and forth. Very floaty feeling.. It slowly built up over the course of two hours.. never plateau'd just worked up to the finish and after 2 hours I was completely sober..

Well.. I thought about it and it just said that Alkaloids were not detected so it could be a terpene or something along those lines, some aromatic principal that makes it active. .... It's soluble in water, I wonder what it is insoluble in. This may take some carefull experimentation. Maybe we could make a refined extract that is nice and smokable.

I am very curious if Walmart petunia's have any activity to them.. I bought some but already planted them. I will buy some more , dry them and bioassay. This may be a bad idea due to the fact that they are not for consumption but I imagine they use the same pestisides on all their plants (i'm sure it differs between their suppliers... tho..) Maybe I will grow them out and they will natural rid them selves of any unnatural chemicals, dry and bioassay.. I'm sure they are not too different than these ones from argentina.. same species at least.

If they are indeed active , then my friends, we have hit the jack pot of entheogens. Completely legal and very effective. Let's see the local newspapers headlines stating "New Drug Hits the streets: Petunia soon to be illegal"

I am also curious as to whether or not the flowers contain the active principals.. Also I wonder if its one individual chemical or a synergy between active consituents.

I've got some of those nursery brand petunia leaves drying right now. They've been in the soil with no pesticides for a while (maybe ever-depends, like you said). How many leaves roughly were in a gram when dried? Mine are still wet and need an idea on how much to pick.

I was told one plant can be from 5-20 grams. It depends on size. 10 grams was a pretty large bundle of leaves. Probably 3-4 plants worth in my case, so I assume.

A friend and I just brewed up some fresh plants picked in the neighborhood(wet weight around 45 grams per dose). I had some candystriped(red/purple/white) and a little bit of purple flowered variety. My friend is drinking his tea that is 100% purple variety.

I'll let ya know how it goes.

Friend is feeling very mellow and just sedated. No real feeling of flying like reported.

I feel nothing, so I just drank some more brew. Probably around 25-30g more wet material. I'm a bigger guy(6'5" 230lbs) so perhaps I need more. I'm also thinking that the candystripe variety I first brewed is inactive. I'll be sure to report back in aboot an hour.

I am assuming that sense your material is not dried it was not thoroughly extracted. Maybe try with dried material. I'm vey anxious to hera whether or not their is much difference between commerical strains and argentina grown.

I may order up a few kilos' so I can offer it to yall..

yeah sounds good, though as said before, a smokeable extract would be bomb. And hopefully if smoking the extract gets to be a well known practise, then ethno shops would sell the extract as well, but only if there is a market for it.

These are homegrown plants from the store initially that have quadrupled in size since I bought them. Just took mosty the new growth off of them. They are about to hit my empty stomach. Heading off for a hike :stoned:

I can't make it to Ohio this year because of work obligations. :frown:

I'm anxious to see if the store ones have any activity either. I havent found any sources for P.violacea plants or seeds, but you can find violacea crossbreeds all over the place.
