Check out my ghetto Glovebox I made :o *PICS*

All made of stuff I had lying around the house.
A Rubbermaid container, some plexi glass, and an old rain coat I cut the arms off of.


Cut the top out with a knife for the plexi glass.


Layed down some 3M double sided tape.


Set the glass in place.


Used some duct tape to seal it off better.


View from the top.


Traced the holes with a roll of tape for an approximate size.


Some rough cutting with a knife.  Good enough.


Taped the sleeves in with some tape.


Sleeves in place.


All done. :laugh:


I kept all my supplies in the Rubbermaaid so now they need a new home. :frown:


Took about 30 mins total to make and $0 since I all ready had everything I needed.  I'll just use some latex gloves unless I get motovatied and throw some nice rubber gloves on ther or something in the future.

I like it. Mine is just shit I tore apart. PVC pipe fittings and crap.

its shit he had before the glove box lol.... plus you cant do everything in a glove box, and you gotta move stuff into it.

No shit.  I didn't think it was gonna be that hard or I would have borrowed a dremel from work.  I thought I could just slice through it nice with a sharp razor blade.  I didn't realize it was so thick.  My arm was pretty sore by the time I cut out the holes with the knife.

Do you plan to use the mask as an air filter? I did the same with my first box.

No. Like said above, it was for before I had the glovebox.

Also, When I use it, besides lysol should I spray some air disinfectiant shit too in there to clean the air. Seems like it just traps dirty air but stops new ditry air from blowing around the way it is now.

IMHO, yes to the lysol..but I would also hook up a fan and slap that filter mask over it (makes a dome shape and easy to glue to the outside over the fan) to make a positive air flow to get the "dirty air" out. Might be arguable, but again IMHO :smile:

But if you do use a fan, leave it unpluged until after the lysol drys inside the box.

BTW, looks nice. I like the rain coat arms. Cheap and simple.
