Some of that is going to happen. But it will be offset by all the parents who thought their kids were going to be in school this semester, and now they need daycare; and all the parents who spent big money on college tuition, and it turns out to be online. You will see these numbers go up every week. When you factor in Biden's current lead, he still wins easily.

The covid pain will generally count against Trump but the final numbers may be closer than you think. What I am saying is that even a month ago Trump had no viable game plan and now he has it.

Brian Jones said:
The other thing is everyone isn't buying Trump's argument. How's he doing on social unrest? Cheap talk only gets you so far.

The very essence of his message is that you don't negotiate with rioters - you restore order and then deal with the issues. In my view many voters will see public offers of federal help to deal with the civil unrest as a measured and reasonable approach. Ignoring the problem would be weak, sending in the guards autoctratic so I think Trump is occupying the middle ground here and will be seen as such but time will tell.

Btw - I do not rate Trump as a crisis time leader but his persuasion game is strong and I believe he got this absolutely right. I also rate Pelosi so surprising she does not see that the Dems are occupying a losing position. The other Dem's PR star AOC is more a problem than a solution in the current setup so not sure how the Dems can turn the ship around.

Looking good that democrats take back the senate. Biden wins. Get rid of the filibuster. Add two more seats to the Supreme Court and make conservatives completely irrelevant. 🤣

Quote:
Fox News poll:

Arizona Senate
Mark Kelly (D) 56%
Martha McSally (R) 39%

North Carolina Senate
Cal Cunningham (D) 48%
Thom Tillis (R) 42%

Does not matter what you call it - all I am saying is that Trump's polling will improve in the near future.

Do you, koods, believe that Trump's polling will improve or tank in the near future?

His polling peaked right after the RNC at +4% last time and he finished at -2% exactly what he got in the election. He got no bump this time. Biden is holding on to a double digit lead. All these parents are going to be extremely frustrated that their kids are being sent home due to covid outbreaks. Trump is a loser.

So, just to clarify, you do not believe Trump's polling will improve in the near future?

Trump is down five points in who do you trust more on civil unrest. In Wisconsin. People aren’t stupid. They know it’s Trumps America that is turning to shit. Trump can’t keep blaming democrats for not fixing the problem when he appears to be totally impotent

Trumps covid failure is really gonna hurt him in states with Republican governors. Look at the Arizona numbers

As they say making predictions is difficult - especially about the future, but we will see which way things go.

Absolutely - I stated multiple times that his handling of the covid sucked. My current prediction, which you disagree with, is that Trump's polling will improve as a result of his stance on law & order

And I point you to the Wisconsin polling where Biden is up 5 points on that issue AFTER Kenosha. People aren’t stupid. He ran on law and order and things are going to shit under his leadership.

New Poll Now Shows President Trump Ahead Of Biden In Michigan

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

Another Trump milestone:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-debt-is-set-to-exceed-size-of-the-economy-for-year-a-first-since-world-war-ii-11599051137

The Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday that federal debt held by the public is projected to reach or exceed 100% of U.S. gross domestic product, the broadest measure of U.S. economic output, in the fiscal year that begins on Oct. 1. That would put the U.S. in the company of a handful of nations with debt loads that exceed their economies, including Japan, Italy and Greece.

“I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
