Cap:

Spore print color:

Bruising:

Other information:
Found several clumps of these growing in the woods in central NC.  It appears they might be sparassis/cauliflower fungus but I'm not certain.  They have a white/ivory color, they smell like mushrooms, the clumps range in size but most are baseball/softball diameter.  In researching them it seems like it's a little early in the year for them right now (end of June).  Can anyone give me a positive ID?

post on www.mushroomobserver.org for a more accurate identification at least that is my opinion.  personally,  I can't help you but someone here may know. However,  mushroom observer is a great site with several professional mycologist/researchers reviewing the observations. I have provided many specimens to universities because students performing research will request specimens from the site.
