The legal weed in Illinois has been screwed up. Supply is very low, and the better stuff is being prioritized to medical card holders.

So all along I have been complaining that Trump refuses to consult with intelligent advisors before making a decision. Well, Trump has reached out to Alex Rodriguez and his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez on how he should respond to the Corona virus crisis.

Don't jump to conclusions. This might not be as completely frivolous as it sounds. One of the biggest factors in fatalities from this disease are underlying conditions. One of the major underlying conditions that medical experts have been talking about is diabetes. Diabetics reportedly cannot tolerate the steroid therapy that is effective in treating lung conditions. So there you have it. The President was saying to himself, steroids...steroids, who should I call?

His high level supporters in the party are upset that he is having a feud with the woman who's the governor of Michigan. He barely won that state in 2016. Public support nationally is much higher for state officials on containing the virus than for Trump or anyone else at the federal level.

Also in Michigan, Trump is having public conflict with the woman who runs General Motors on everything from producing cars in China to contracts to build medical supplies. He's also upset that GM had to close plants and furlough workers last month, as though he is blameless. Apparently building American cars has not been declared essential like keeping gun stores open.

I have a lot of time for Trump but his response to the covid drama is poor. Do not believe the initial testing fiasco can be pinned on him but a month down we are in the timespace cone of his influence and things are still not great. Also his messaging is overly political. I got (and am still getting) the positive spin but his early statements are now sounding nonchalant.

What is also not helping is the constant hostility of the left wing media. The likes of CNN should be responsible enough to shelve their ideological preferences and stop the gotcha reporting of what Trump does. Their bias is pathetic. They roasted him when he said that it is his "hunch" the mortailty of covid is under 1% and that chloroquine might work. Now, when it turned out he was right, no credit is given. These are just cheap shots against a president they hate no matter what he says.

I credit Trump with making everyone realise that the next stage of recovery - restarting the economy - is just as important as saving lives. Yes - the human misery and suicides during the depression which is coming will add to the covid tally. Lockdowns are a costly way to fight pandemics and even the US cannot afford them indefinitely.

The lockdown probably wouldnā€™t need to be as bad as it is if Trump had taken shit seriously in the beginning  , rather than pretending it was a hoax.
  Fuck Trump , I hope CNN sticks it to his ass every day . I hope they keep doing even after heā€™s out of office .

Trump recently asked for and received much needed supplies from Russia, and the establishment media is hammering him!

The supplies have been here over a day now, and there's no news about them being defective or being equipped to spy on us (as if they need to ship supplies to do that).

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

The US can afford it, but The Elite doesn't want to afford it. They want trillions in bailouts for themselves while Joe-Six Pack loses his job and gets kicked out of his house/apartment.

In fact, the wealthy are going to come out of this even better than before as they grab more assets for free from the peasants. Both parties are making sure of that reality.

I do not believe it was possible to avoid letting covid into the country - no territory in the World achieved it. It was always going to be either containment through changing social behaviour or a lockdown.

Many people in the West do not realise that SARS was a dress rehearsal for covid in Asia. This is when the likes of China, HK and Singapore learnt how to suppress community transmission. The West did not have this experience and now we are paying for it. Interestingly Scandinavia are not in full lockdown and they are doing ok covid-wise. They are reserved by nature - something they had learnt in the plague days and have kept in the collective memory.

I see lockdowns as a means to suppress the community transmission and also an accelerated social behaviour learning for when they finish. The handshakes, hugs and close group socialising will no longer be practised. There is no way we would all have adopted these measures without seeing the rows of body bags parked outside hospitals.
